Is my footage private? Where is it processed?
Yes. Orelant runs AI entirely on the box in your home. Video is never sent to the cloud — it's processed locally. Only alerts (e.g. "Child near stove") are sent to your phone if you choose. We don't store or stream your video.
What's included in the box?
You get the Orelant box (hardware + pre-installed AI software), the number of cameras in your chosen tier (2 for Early Bird, 4 for Pro), power adapters, and everything needed to plug in and start. No extra subscriptions required for core alerts.
What is your refund policy for the deposit?
The $199 deposit is fully refundable until your unit ships. If you change your mind before we ship (expected Q3 2026), we'll refund the full deposit. After shipping, our standard return policy applies.
Do I need a strong internet connection?
The box needs a stable home internet connection to send you alerts and receive software updates. Video is processed on-device, so upload bandwidth is minimal. We recommend a typical home broadband connection.
What can the AI detect and do I need to configure anything?
No manual setup required — the AI learns your home automatically. It recognizes rooms, objects, and people, then understands context: a child near a hot stove, an elderly person who may have fallen, a burner left on with nobody around, or a caregiver who left the room. You simply choose which alerts matter to you.
What's the difference between Early Bird and Pro?
Early Bird ($599) includes the box, 2 cameras, and full AI software — ideal for a kitchen or main living area. Pro ($799) includes 4 cameras and priority support, better for covering multiple rooms or larger homes.
When will the first batch ship?
We're targeting Q3 2026 for the first batch. Pre-order now to reserve your spot; you'll only pay the $199 refundable deposit until we're ready to ship. We'll notify you before charging the remaining balance.
